Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026 · v1.0 · Relating to the togetherroom.com site and subdomains

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files saved in the user's browser while browsing a website. They are used to remember preferences, ensure essential functions and analyze site usage anonymously.

This Cookie Policy transparently describes all the tracking technologies used by TogetherROOM, in compliance with the GDPR (Reg. EU 2016/679), the Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the Italian Data Protection Authority's measure of 10 June 2021.

2. Cookies we use

2.1 Essential (Technical) cookies Always on

Necessary for the site to work. They do not require consent under Art. 122 of the Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003. They cannot be disabled via our settings.

Cookie Service Purpose Duration Controller
tr_cookies TogetherROOM Stores cookie banner preferences (accepted/rejected, granular) 6 months TogetherROOM
tr_lang TogetherROOM Stores the user's preferred language (IT/EN/ES) 12 months TogetherROOM

2.2 Anti-spam protection (ALTCHA) No cookies

To protect the waitlist form from bots we use ALTCHA, a proof-of-work mechanism served by our own backend. ALTCHA installs no cookies, uses no third-party service and collects no personal data.

2.3 Analytics cookies — Cookieless Optional consent

🍃 Umami installs no cookies. We use Umami Analytics, a fully cookieless analytics tool: it installs no cookies, collects no personal data, does not track users across sessions and does not build individual profiles. The statistics produced are aggregated and anonymous only.

Technically Umami does not require consent under GDPR Recital 26 (anonymous data). We nonetheless offer the option to disable it through cookie preferences.

Tool Cookies installed Data collected Controller
Umami Analytics None Pages visited (anonymous), country of origin (anonymous), device type. No personal data. Umami Software Inc. (USA) — processes anonymous data only

2.4 Advertising and profiling cookies

TogetherROOM does not use advertising, retargeting, profiling or marketing cookies. No Meta (Facebook), Google Ads, TikTok pixel or similar tool is integrated. No data is sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

3. How to manage your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the following tools:

Disabling essential technical cookies may impair the correct functioning of the site (e.g. language preferences not saved).

4. Non-EU data transfers

Umami Software Inc. (USA) processes exclusively anonymous aggregated data, which does not qualify as personal data under the GDPR (Recital 26).

The anti-spam protection (ALTCHA) runs on our own backend and involves no third-party transfer. All of TogetherROOM's servers and database are hosted in European Union data centers (Frankfurt, Germany) and involve no non-EU transfer of personal data.

5. Consent duration and withdrawal

The consent expressed through the cookie banner is stored for 6 months. On expiry, the banner will be shown again to update preferences.

You can withdraw consent at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent given previously.

6. Changes to this Cookie Policy

TogetherROOM reserves the right to update this policy at any time to reflect technical, regulatory or organizational changes. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the site. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.

7. Contacts and data subject rights
